This privacy policy page outlines how stacknatic.com, collects, uses, and protects your personal data.

1. Personal Data Collection and Purpose

a) Live Chat

If you use the live chat on stacknatic.com, you may be required to provide your name and email address. This information is solely for communication and correspondence purposes. You will receive a notification once I am available if I am not immediately present for the live chat. Your name and email will be deleted from stacknatic.com when the chat has ended within 30 days.

b) Registration

When you register, you'll need to provide your name, email address, and select a username. This information is essential for the registration process to authenticate your identity on the platform. In the event that you forget your password, you can utilize the provided email address to initiate a password reset.

c) Newsletter Subscription:

If you subscribe to my newsletter, you may receive notifications from time to time through email about my latest posts, upcoming services, and promotions. If you do not wish to receive such notifications, you can unsubscribe by sending a request through the contact form or by using the unsubscribe link in a notification email sent to you.

d) IP Address and Browser/Device Details:

Your IP address, browser details, and device details may be collected and retained for up to 90 days when you visit stacknatic.com or register. This information is collected for analysis as part of security measures to prevent instances of spam and abuse of stacknatic.com.

2. Protection of Your Data

stacknatic.com uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to ensure that data transmitted over our web traffic, both incoming and outgoing, is kept safe from security threats or data breaches.

3. Comments

When visitors leave comments on stacknatic.com, data provided in the comment form may be retained as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string. This information aids in spam detection and moderation.

4. Media

If you upload images to stacknatic.com, it is recommended to avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract location data from images on the website.

5. Social Share

a) Facebook and WhatsApp Share:

When you use the Facebook or WhatsApp share feature on stacknatic.com, Meta Platforms Inc. may collect your IP address, your web browser User Agent, store and retrieve cookies on your browser, embed additional tracking, and monitor your interaction with the widget. This includes correlating your Facebook account with any action you take within the widget (such as "liking/sharing/recommending" our webpage) if you are logged in to Facebook. For more information on how this data may be used, please see Meta’s data privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/update.

b) Twitter Share:

When you use the Twitter share feature on stacknatic.com to share a post, stacknatic.com makes requests to Twitter’s servers for you to be able to share using your Twitter account. These requests make your IP address visible to Twitter, who may use it in accordance with their data privacy policy: https://twitter.com/en/privacy#update.

6. Contact Form

When you use the contact form on stacknatic.com, you are required to provide your name and email address for the purpose of correspondence.

7. Cookies

If you visit the login page, a temporary cookie may be set to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. If you select "Remember Me" when logging in, your login information will persist for 1 year. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

8. Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles, etc.) from other websites. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

9. Retention of Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is done in order to recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. For users who register on stacknatic.com, personal information provided in their user profiles will be stored. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

10. Your Rights Over Your Data

If you have an account on stacknatic.com or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal information held about you, including any data you have provided to stacknatic.com. You can also request the erasure of any personal data held about you. However, this does not include any data that is obligatory to be kept for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

11. Transmission of Your Data

Your personal data will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
